Samadi recently demanded the entire case be thrown out. It’s been, almost, a year since the fashion professional and the investor “officially” broke up.
Last month, Arial Samadi filed a lawsuit against investor Alex Ojjeh seeking damages and alleging harassment, assault and defamation. Alex Ojjeh fired back and filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Arial Samadi accusing her of making unauthorized charges on his credit cards during their relationship.
Arial responded by saying the investor’s claim that she ran up his credit card without his knowledge, saying he was fully aware of every purchase.
Arial attempted to shut down accusations made in Ojjeh’s lawsuit against her that claimed she helped herself to his cash and went shopping behind his back.
In recently filed court papers, Samadi denies each and all allegations of wrongdoing in her ex’s lawsuit. She says Ojjeh has not been emotionally damaged as he alleges in his complaint.
Further, she says the investor consented to the alleged transactions and for her to be in possession and/or own the disputed property.
Samadi dated Ojjeh for 7 months. She knows where he comes from, what he does and how he behaves. So,what made her travel to see him after 10 months and make an effort to sue4 months after that visit?
My guess? Samadi didn’t want the investor to go back to jail but was willing to get a payout from the situation.
There’s no good reason Samadi would use his credit card or spend his money behind his back as he claims to me. Not when there’s so much money around. My assumption being, when your boyfriend is an investor and involved in some underhanded business deals there is cash on hand, so of course Arial received cash, this is noted in the way she starts to receive spending money whilebeing around him.
I can fully believe her when she says Ojjeh handed over a credit card when the relationship became serious. A credit card that no doubt had no limit so Arial could keep himself and her in custom fashion.
Clearly her lawsuit revels Ojjeh has charisma to burn. But he’s mean, too, also cruel, he just injects romance and humor into the relationship to try to make her forget.
Simply put, even the times she says she was not really happy in the relationship, you can tell she’s enjoying the fruits of it. She loves that Alex isn’t a wealthy elitist throwing his declaration of wealth in people’s faces, so she continues tocome around.
Three arguments in the lawsuit
After being invited to a business meeting on a boat in Southampton, he is made aware that Arial left the table and is at the bar talking to a man. In response Alex, eventually heads her way and deliberately threatens him. Beating the man to a pulp.
Following this Alex heads back to the hotel room berating Arial and throwing her things over the balcony, getting into a heated argument over what had happened at the restaurant. He eventually relents and leaves, he calms down and comes back, however.
The second fight Alex takes Arial with him to a meeting in The Netherlands he is once again barking abuse at her.
The final argument in in Tennessee where he pulls a gun at her head, telling her to remove the jewelry she got from him.
Background
Alex Ojjeh met Arial Samadi on Instagram, a social media app. Soon into their relationship Alex became a very controlling one towards Arial and kept her under his thumb. This was a spiteful response to him thinking she came off flirty.
Before the split took place in February 2020 Alex and Arial took a holiday on a private Island in Amalfi, Italy, when she traveled to see him in November, he claimed that trip to be one of his more satisfying memories as well as the only time he felt like she genuinely liked him.She admits becoming angry with him after he unfailinglyfaulted her of never caring about him.
The two got into aarguement, one that Alex made physical by pulling a gun on her. The following week she discovered someone had broken into her penthouse at The Corniche and stolen personal property she valued at $1 million. In the audio, Alex is saying “I was just f*cking with you. You want to be stunting like you’re doing big sh*t [laughing] call meback you can get everything back seriously.”
Summary of allegations from Samadi’s attorney
Samadi worked in retail before knowing Mr. Ojjeh and as a result of her work, she managed to buy her own condo in Mayfair. After she became intimate with Mr. Ojjeh he persuaded Samadi to move into a penthouse he purchased for her. Mr. Ojjeh wanted Ms. Samadi to make herself available to him essentially at all times. At his request, she turned down job offers that came her way, and worked very infrequently during her relationship with Alex.
STATEMENT FROM ARIAL SAMADI
There was a point in my relationship with Ali that I thought we would be together forever. I loved him so much and I made sure that I showed him I cared the best way I knew how. There was never anything he needed, other thanmy time and I gave him that.
Ali could be a little closed off and within himself, but I chalked that up to how he grew up. Plus, dating him was fun. He was very inconspicuous, but he had a taste for nice things—expensive restaurants, five-star hotels, nice watches, opera houses and private islands — he always insisted on doing for me.
Because my degree is in fashion; Ali asked me if I could design his suits for him. It was his way of keeping me around more, which actually worked very well. It was such a privilege, to be honest with you, because I love fashion.
I was very fond of meeting with different tailors – just as a fashion lover. And that is when he originally gave me his credit card; he told me to keep it to get myself things. But I would have more fun having suits made for Ali.
All the suits in his closet are made, there is no bought suit in his closet. I would make sure his suits had details in them, top stitching, like in the lapels, the little notch in the lapels, he moved best in much more European cuts, a more fitted look. He also loved his casual wear. Everything he casually wore was not always expensive but brand new.
We spent majority of our time together, but sometimes he would be gone off on his own and he’d just be living life the way he wants to, but he would still call me and be slightly mad thinking that I was doing the same.
It was only when he drank a lot or did other things that I worried for both of us and everybody around us. He would become a totally different person, often delusional and violent. We called that version of Ali, ‘Alex-X.’ He would just be mean to everyone. Ali often would not remember his conduct after he came out of those states.
I was thankful I had the nice version of him, flowers, romantic gestures, the good conversationalist, thedry humor. Histhoughtfulness. At the bad times, because I loved Ali, I tried to understand where he was coming from which was a little hard to do, but he just is who he is.
