When a person in the United States graduates from high school, a large celebration is had by all. Invitations and announcements are sent out so that everyone that knows this young person will know that they are graduating from high school and want you to celebrate with them.
Wording
Just in case you don’t know, there is a difference between a graduation invitation and an announcement and it is all in the wording. An announcement lets family and friends know that your daughter or son is graduating or has graduated from high school. These can be mailed a few days before or after the actual graduation has occurred. An invitation is an actual invite to the ceremony.

The graduation announcements/invitations are printed by many websites that make custom graduation invites for each person who is graduating. But what about all the other graduations that occur each year? A person might graduate from many different places each year such as:
- Medical school;
- Law school;
- Veterinary school.
Now think about this – have you ever received an invitation or announcement about someone you know graduating from one of these schools? Many have never received one, and so the new tradition is to send out announcements from the people who graduate from these schools.
Design and print
There are now many websites that design and print medical or law school grad party invites. Graduating from most professional schools are the end of many years of study and training to become some of the most revered people in our communities. And this should be celebrated by everyone that knows them.
